BENDIGO BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION

The Bendigo Basketball Association commenced in 1947, and moved all competitions to Bendigo Stadium in 1976.

Bendigo has the reputation of being a powerhouse of Australian basketball, with over 470 teams participating in the domestic competition.

Bendigo Basketball Association’s players and officials who have achieved international status include Rhonda Vise, Nina Cass, Max Brisbane, Kristi Harrower, Aaron Trahair, Glen Saville, Mathew Campbell, Emily McInerny and Tim Mills.

BENDIGO SPIRIT

The Spirit became the ninth Women’s National Basketball League club following its approval for entry into the 2007/08 season. As the third Victorian based team, the Spirit is based in the regional city of Bendigo.
