Patties throws support behind Bendigo Biddy Ball

The Bendigo Basketball Association is pleased to announce Patties Foods as the new sponsor of their Biddy Ball basketball program, helping children between four and nine years of age to learn the fundamentals of the sport from some of Bendigo’s best and most promising basketballers.

Patties Foods is a regional Victorian success story, starting in Gippsland and growing to include some of the biggest food brands in Australia and the world with household names like “Four N Twenty, Nannas, Herbert Adams and their own brand Patties.”

“About 100 children take part in Biddy Ball twice a week, and it’s so exciting to see the enthusiasm and love for the sport on their faces each time they walk on court,” Bendigo Stadium General Manager, Sport, Ben Harvey said.

“The children get to develop their skills and have a lot of fun with their heroes, including Bendigo Spirit and Bendigo Braves players.

“Having Patties Foods support for such an important program enables us to provide the opportunities for the children to continue to learn whilst having a lot of fun.”

Patties Foods Senior Account Manager Katie Rice said the company is proud to support the Association and their Biddy Ball program, their families, and our future basketball stars.

“Our values encompass what it means to be a partner of a regional community and to partner with regional families,” she said.

Bendigo Basketball Association President Martin Spottiswood said “I am excited to have such an iconic company as Patties Food supporting the future of our sport.”
