CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Upon entering Red Energy Arena, Restaurant 91, Stars Bar, Terrace outdoor bar and dining, other entertainment areas and all courts, all persons agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

General Admission Specific Conditions

  • Patrons attend the venue at their own risk. Bendigo Stadium Limited (BSL) will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of a patrons’ personal property, nor for any other loss, damage or injury suffered by any patron, whether in contract, tort or statutory liability to the full extent permitted by law.
  • When entering the venue, patrons agree for their image, likeness, or voice to be used as part of any recording of an event, and to be used for promotional purposes.
  • Playsight operates on Courts 1, 5, 6 & 9 and participants using those courts may be subject to livestreaming of their games.
  • Entry to the venue is subject to our full Clubs License and may require you to sign in with appropriate identification– ticketed events and sporting events through the concourse doors are exempt from this.
  • Intoxicated and/or disorderly persons or persons using foul, abusive or making racial or threatening remarks or gestures will be refused entry or evicted from the venue.
  • Patrons entering the venue agree to comply with any reasonable direction given by any staff or officials of the venue.
  • Banned patrons are not permitted to enter the venues until approval from the BSL Board is granted, or barred notice period has expired.
  • BSL reserves the right to update, modify or change these Conditions of Entry from time to time. Any changes will be posted and available on our website.

Patrons agree to comply with venue staff directions in the event of an emergency evacuation.

Alcohol

The venue holds a Full Club Liquor License and an On Premise Liquor License and as such the following provisions apply:

  • Intoxicated and/or disorderly persons or persons using foul, abusive or making racial or threatening remarks or gestures will be refused entry or evicted from the venue.
  • Alcoholic beverages must not be taken into or from the venue
  • Alcohol may only be consumed in designated areas
  • Alcohol may not be permitted inside the arena and courts at some events
  • It is an offence for minors to purchase or consume alcohol, or for a person to supply alcohol to a minor.
  • Patrons under the age of 25 maybe asked to provide approved identification as outlined by Liquor Control Victoria. Signs are displayed in areas where alcohol is served.
  • Breaches of these laws may result in eviction from the Venue and the persons being reported to the Police (penalties apply under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998)

Prohibited items

All items may be visually inspected by our or security personnel on entry

The following items are not permitted in any area of the building:

  • Illegal substances, including controlled, dangerous or illicit drugs
  • Incendiary devices, including flares, fireworks and /generators.
  • Firearms and explosives, chemical, radioactive or biological
  • Potential weapons as determined by security and police – e.g., knives, chains
  • Animals (other than assistance dogs)
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades/skates
  • The use of Professional cameras, camera tripods, audio recording devices or video cameras for commercial purposes is not permitted with the venue and should not be bought into the venue – without written approval
  • Mobile phones and cameras are prohibited from use in any change room
  • Glass (including bottles), crockery or cans, metal or hard plastic containers (eskis), including and plastic bottles over 600 ,
  • Refillable water bottles up to 1 ltr are allowed for participation sporting events only.
  • Commercial food or beverages purchased at other locations are not permitted within the venue. Food and beverages are available to purchase throughout the venue
  • Unauthorised advertising material or flyers
  • Aerosol paint cans
  • Any other item that in the opinion of Bendigo Stadium Limited (BSL), could cause harm or public nuisance.

Smoking

  • Smoking and/or vaping (e-cigarette) is not permitted inside any areas of the venue or within 10 metres of any external doors.
  • Should you wish to smoke or vape, please do so in the designated areas

Ticketed Events

  • All conditions above continue to apply
  • BSL relies on patrons to bring these conditions of entry to the attention of any guest(s) of the patron who purchased the ticket. BSL trusts that all patrons acknowledge and accept these conditions to enter the venue.
  • Tickets, mobile or hard-copy must be retained at all times.
  • Any tickets that are damaged, defaced or have been purchased from an unauthorised ticketing agent will not permit the holder to be admitted to the event
  • Patrons must only occupy the seats specified on their ticket unless seating is general admittance
  • Patrons who have purchased a concessional ticket for an event must be able to provide valid proof of concession (i.e.) proof of age identification or concession card) upon entry to the Arena or when requested.
  • No cloaking service is provided
  • Patrons can not bring musical including megaphones, loud hailers, horns and whistles into a ticketed event
  • Patrons maybe subject to random and continuous wanding
  • Babies and toddlers are permitted at most sports and entertainment events, however, some concerts are not suitable for infants due to the potential for high noise levels and flashing lights. Please check the specific event you are attending.
  • Patrons are not to enter restricted areas (including the field of play and players area) without being granted permission
  • Conditions of Entry are to be read in conjunction with conditions of entry that may apply to (i) a particular event; (ii) BSL’s ticketing agent’s terms and conditions of ticket sales; (iii) specific conditions of sporting governing bodies or other event owners who conduct events at the venue.

Covid 19

  • You agree to comply with all Government directions, orders and regulations relevant to attending events and sports programs, which may be in place at the time. This includes not attending the event or sporting program, if at the time, you are subject to a requirement imposed by law to self-isolate or otherwise not attend.
  • If you have COVID-19, you should stay at home in accordance with advice from the Victorian Health Department 
  • When attending Red Energy Arena, Restaurant 91, Stars Bar, Terrace outdoor bar and dining, other entertainment areas and all courts, you agree to assume all risks associated with COVID-19

Friday night Domestic Basketball Specific Conditions

  • Entry to Red Energy Arena Domestic Basketball will be strictly restricted to players and minors supported by a parent/guardian. Any other person under the age of 18 not participating in matches, and not in the presence of a parent/guardian will not be able to enter Red Energy Arena.
  • Security guards will issue a stamp on entry so that once in the venue our staff will be aware for patrons under the age of 18 that your parent or guardian is in the building.
  • Please ensure no external emergency doors are opened.
  • A continued presence of security and staff in attendance on game nights.
  • Red Energy Arena reserves the right to ask patrons to leave the premises if any of these terms and conditions are breached.
